桑名市は名古屋市から電車で約20分、中部国際空港（セントレア）からバスで約１時間ほどにある便利なまちです。
西と北に山々が、東に濃尾平野が広がる、水と緑豊かな自然環境のもと、江戸時代から東海道五十三次の宿場町・城下町・湊町として栄え、今でも高速道路や国道、鉄道など主要幹線が集中する交通の要衝です。
レジャーでは、ジャンボ海水プールや絶叫マシーンの「ナガシマスパーランド」、日本一と呼び声の高いイルミネーションで有名な「なばなの里」、日本最大級約240店舗のアウトレットモール「ジャズドリーム長島」などがあり、外国人観光客にも人気です。
大きなイベントとしては、５月の多度祭、７月の花火大会、８月の石取祭などがあります。
それ以外の観光スポットとしては、イギリス人建築家のジョサイア・コンドルが設計した「六華苑」や、多度祭の「多度大社」、洪水と戦った輪中について学べる「輪中の郷」などがあります。
また、木曽三川が育んだ、はまぐりやしじみ、海苔などの水産物や、トマト、たけのこ、和菓子、日本酒などの美味しい食べ物もたくさんあります。
伊勢神宮がある伊勢志摩や、大阪、京都に向かう時や、名古屋や飛騨高山、東京などの途中にも、ぜひお立ち寄りください！
It takes about 20 minutes by train from Nagoya city, and it takes about 1 hour by bus from Chubu International Airport (Centrair) to Kuwana city.
Kuwana city prospered as post station, castle town, port town of fifty-three stages of the Tokaido (one of the highways maintained in the Edo era.) With water and rich natural environment, there are mountains in the west and north, and Nobi Plains spreads through the east. Also the main lines such as an expressway, a national highway, and a railroad are still centered.
In terms of leisure, jumbo sea water pool and thrill ride of “Nagashima Spaland”, beautiful illumination in winter of “Nabana no Sato”, and the outlet mall of approximately 240 stores which is the biggest in Japan “Jazz Dream Nagashima”are popular among foreign tourists.
In terms of big events, there is Tado Festival in May, fireworks festival in July, and Ishidori Festival in August.
For other tourist spots, there is “Waju Village” to be able to learn about “Rokkaen” which was designed by the British architect, Josiah Conder, “Tado Shrine” of Tado Fetival, and Waju which is the name of the area that had floods.
In addition, there is a lot of delicious food such as a clam and a corbicula, marine products such as the laver, and tomato, a bamboo shoot, a Japanese sweet, the sake which are all benefits from Kiso Three River.
Also please come here as a staging post when you go to Iseshima where has Ise Shrine, Suzuka Circuit, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Nagoya, Hida Takayama, and Tokyo!
